We are hoping to be moving there in October, so hopefully see you all very soon.
Just stopped by to say hi to all those that might remember me. I lived on the farm outside Nokomis, not far from Elwood Smith. Went to Richfarms from Grade 2 to 8 then went to Nokomis. Left home before I was 18 to join the army. Been a long time since I was in Nokomis. Back then there where about 500 people. I see now it is down to around 450. I see grades 9 to 12 no longer go to school there.
My Grandfather James Smith McIntosh farmed near Nokomis on part SE 22 29 21 W2 on 1907 and sold out later in 1970 or 80
Our family lived in Nokomis from 1970 to 1974, and I had the pleasure of starting Kindergarten there. We lived south of the CN tracks, and just down the road from the CN station. My Dad worked for CN and I miss living there.
